IMPORTANT - READ CAREFULLY:
Consistent with industry standards, Statesman Armament requires all customers who ship firearms to us must get prior written approval. Implementing this practice helps us maintain regulatory compliance and ensures that all incoming shipments are expected and appropriately documented. If we receive an unexpected delivery of a firearm, we will refuse to accept the shipment from the carrier. If customers purchase firearms directly from our website for local 4473 completion and transfer, this section (Incoming Firearm Transfers) is not applicable because purchase notification and subsequent shipping are automated processes within our website software.
To preserve the character of our small towns, while simultaneously protecting the interests of our island way of life, Statesman Armament has made a commitment to prioritize the needs of our local residents over those of tourists or non-local residents. Therefore, Maine residents of Deer Isle, Isle Au Haut, Little Deer Isle, Stonington, and Sunset pay $15.00 for each firearm transferred. This “Local Islander 4473 Transfer Special” is a geographic promotional FFL transfer rate limited to, and exclusively for, non-seasonal residents living within zip codes 04627, 04645, 04650, 04681, 04683 and represents a 94% discount from our regular transfer fee of $250. To be eligible to receive this promotional discount, a valid Maine Driver’s License with a physical address is required.
1) When firearms are purchased directly from our website and transferred to local Maine residents of Deer Isle, Isle Au Haut, Little Deer Isle, Stonington, and Sunset, the transfer fee IS included in the firearm’s total purchase price. If a firearm is shipped to us from another FFL Dealer for local transfer to residents of Deer Isle, Isle Au Haut, Little Deer Isle, Stonington, and Sunset, the transfer fee is $15.00 per firearm.
2) When firearms are purchased directly from our website and transferred to Maine residents NOT residing in Deer Isle, Isle Au Haut, Little Deer Isle, Stonington, and Sunset, the transfer fee IS NOT included in the firearm’s purchase price and a transfer fee of $250.00 will be added to the cost of each firearm transferred. If a firearm is shipped to us from another FFL Dealer for transfer to non-local Maine residents, a $250.00 transfer fee will be required per firearm transferred.
3) Geographic Restrictions and Right to Modify: STATESMAN ARMAMENT expressly offers a promotional FFL transfer rate discount as a courtesy to our island community. Eligibility for local resident pricing is determined at the sole discretion of management and requires valid, government-issued proof of residency at the time of purchase. STATESMAN ARMAMENT reserves the right to modify, suspend, or deviate from the terms, boundaries, or availability of this geographic promotional FFL transfer rate at any time, with or without prior notice, based on capacity, business needs, or exceptional circumstances. Granted exceptions or deviations do not constitute a waiver of these terms nor establish a binding precedent for future transactions.
